Bill Abel may be best known for his guitar work --both behind Paul "Wine" Jones and as a solo artist. But Abel is currently making a name for himself as a visual artist near Rosedale, Mississippi. Abel has been clasically trained in painting and ceramics at Delta State University, where he recently completed a B.F.A. Abel finds the light and lay of his local land inspiring; he also draws ideas from Japanese folk pottery, the impressionists and the Delta Blues.
